The I-STORMS Project was represented at the 12th HyMeX International Workshop, by PP9, the Meteorological and Hydrological service of Croatia. The event was held in Split on 20-23 of May, 2019 and it was organised by the Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries, in collaboration with the Croatian Meteorological and Hydrological Service.
The general objectives of the HyMeX Workshops are to present and discuss recent scientific progresses in the understanding of the Mediterranean water cycle, from multiscale and multidisciplinary approaches, and to foster further collaborations within the HyMeX community. The HyMeX and Mediterranean water cycle science topics encompass heavy precipitation, flash-floods and social vulnerability, integrated prediction of heavy precipitation and impacts, Mediterranean cyclones, ocean circulation and processes, drought and water resources, the water cycle and renewable energy.
