The I-STORMS National Network Conference and Workshops, organized by the Civil Protection of the Apulia Region, were successfully held in Barletta, on the 12th of December 2019.
The Conference opened with a welcome speech from the Director of the Civil Protection of Apulia Region. The programme of the meeting, included the presentation of the I-STORMS Project, by representatives of the Civil Protection of the Apulia Region, as a well as a presentation of the Italian alert warning system for storm and tsunami risk management, by representatives of the CIMA Foundation. Moreover, a session on coastal dynamics and vulnerability models in municipalities which have to deal with storms, were initiated by representatives of the University of Bari, Department of Earth and Geo-Environmental Sciences. During the meeting, a workshop on “the storm risk: data, models and analysis tools in the IWS- I-STORMS Web Integrated System”, was realised by representatives of CNR ISMAR.
